I knew how to handle Trump: analyze him, confront him, lock him away. Each time he reappeared I used a pen, a journal, and my best words to wrestle him onto the page. Satisfied that Trump-in-my-head was captured and contained, that intellect and reason had triumphed over evil, I closed the journal.
On the morning of November 9, the evil that was affixed to the page had wrestled itself loose and, in Frankenstein fashion, had come to life. I was in shock. I am still in shock. And the rage continues to well up again and again. I thought that I had gotten to the other side of this rage, but all I’ve really done is learn how to momentarily contain it. I want to spit on the Trump supporters that I see each day. I want them to be ashamed. I want them to admit that they made a mistake. I want them to disappear. And I want them to suffer.
