I believe we are in the end times. Not “Jesus is coming” end times. I mean the end of democracy. We thought we could outsmart history. Our fascist moment should have been in the 1920/30s. We dodged that bullet. But history has caught up with us. It’s our turn. Overall, we had a pretty good run. But we got too cocky with all that “New Deal” stuff, women’s rights, civil rights, voting rights. However, most of the New Deal has been dismantled, so now we’re in the mopping up stage, getting rid of those various “rights.”
The one thing I am looking forward to is a loosening of the gun laws. I never wanted a gun as badly as I want one right now.
